The goal of this assignment was to create 12 icons for whatever I wanted to create. I grew up watching Digimon and it was always a favorite of mine, so I decided to make Digimon icons. Doing this was a little daunting at first because I hadn't had too much experience with Illustrator before. 

This of course meant that I would have to start out with some sketches to see what would look best. I went really quick with these but they still gave a good idea of what I liked and what I thought would fit together. Next I started messing around in Illustrator and looked at several reference photos to get an idea of what I was going to do.

I was happy with a few of my early drafts, but there were a few that left a lot to be desired for me. I was told that the eyes needed some work and so I had to fix the eyes on a few of them if I wanted them to look like the digimon that they were supposed to be. Aside from Tentomon on the bottom right, I changed each one of these eyes quite a bit before I finished. I also changed the face shape of most so that they would look more accurate. Following this procedure I ended up with 12 that I was very happy with. 

I finished with these and after showing them to other Digimon fans I know, I feel confident that I accurately portrayed my good friends from childhood.
